Raymond has 36 years of product design/development and executive management experience in the orthopedic industry (Zimmer and Exactech). He served on the Leadership Team at Exactech and as the VP of Engineering & Development (Large Joints, Spine and Advanced Technologies) during a period in which the company more than tripled their revenue and size.
He has collaborated with orthopedic surgeons and scientists around the world. Millions of patients have benefited from the implants he developed. He is an inventor and has received multiple patents.
In 2019, Raymond left Exactech and put his full energy into NovApproach Spine. Since then, NovApproach Spine's excellent team has expanded its advanced spinal approach methods and implant technologies exponentially and is poised for even greater growth as evidenced by the strong surgeon interest it has received.

In 2020, Ron left Exactech and put his full energy into NovApproach Spine. Since then, he has established an operational plan that will ensure the successful implementation of the company's strategic goals.
Michael MacMillan, MD
Dr. Michael MacMillan received his medical degree from University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed research fellowships at Illinois University School of Medicine and at the AO Center in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
He was an Instructor and Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics, at the University of Florida College of Medicine for 22 years.
He is an inventor of numerous minimally invasive approaches to the spine.and author of over 50 scientific papers and textbook chapters on their effectiveness.

Dawn Lissy has an M.S. degree in biomedical engineering from The University of Akron and is a well-respected leader in the Orthopedic and Spine Industries.
Dawn founded and serves as President of the Empirical family of companies (Empirical Testing Corp., Empirical Consulting, LLC, and Empirical Machine, LLC) that offers the full range of testing, regulatory, validation, quality systems consulting and manufacturing services to bring a medical devices to market.
Dawn is active within ASTM International and a member of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence program. She has first-hand, in-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape and maintains an open dialog with the FDA to facilitate a better flow of devices to market for both the innovator and the agency.
Dawn is an inventor for the Stackable Cage System for corpectomy and vertebrectomy. She is a member of the ODT Editorial Advisory Board and frequent speaker at industry events and trade shows.

Andy earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley and received his MBA from Rutgers University. He also completed executive education program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeffrey Roh is a board-certified, award-winning specialist in minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Roh is the Director of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute, Chairman of Swedish Hospital’s Integrated Spine Program, and Chair of the Arthritis Foundation's Leadership Board of Directors in Washington state. He is actively involved in key strategic initiatives centered on excellence in clinical care, optimization of patient satisfaction, and value-based healthcare delivery.
Dr. Roh has over fifteen year of experience as an inventor, angel investor, and serial entrepreneur and holds multiple patents through the USPTO. He is the Chief Medical Officer & Co-Founder of IntuitiveX, a life science incubator created to help inventors and entrepreneurs transform their ideas into products and services that scale into businesses which help patients lead healthier, more productive lives. He also serves as a consultant on Stryker corporation's Surgical Design and Innovation teams (ES2, ARIA, and Mantis) as well as on Providence Venture's Strategy & Innovation team.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University and his complex and minimally invasive spine surgery fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine’s world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC. He is a graduate of the Michael G. Foster School of Business MBA program at the University of Washington and completed a Masters of Science in Technology Management program at Columbia University in NYC.
Industrial and Systems Engineer
Domenic Aluise is pursuing his Industrial and Systems Engineering degree at the University of Florida. His experience with precision engineering began with a position at Lockheed Martin, where he specialized in production machinery design and product innovation as a part of the Internal Research and Development team in 2017.
Domenic also co-founded a prototype development company, RDM Innovation, that specializes in product development and engineering services. Domenic been able to directly apply lessons learned in the classroom while attaining his Industrial Engineering degree, leading design teams that have won 1st place overall at numerous business plan competitions across the US, including the 2017 Big Idea Business Plan competition, University of South Florida’s Fintech Business Planning Competition, and 2nd place overall at the 2017 Student SEC Pitch competition.
Elezar Tonev is pursuing his Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Florida. His experience with engineering design and manufacturing began at Octex, Inc, a Sarasota-based medical device manufacturing company. He is experienced with injection molding and 3D printing, innovating low-volume production methods and procedures since 2015.
Elezar also co-founded a prototype development company, RDM Innovation, that specializes in product development and engineering services. Elezar been able to directly apply lessons learned at UF while attaining his Mechanical Engineering degree, leading design teams that have built autonomous systems, 3D printers, and over 20 product concepts.
